Stillness

Taking a break to sip hot, milky coffee.

Soft morning light streams through the open window and outside birds sing softly.

Enjoying the stillness of a beautiful summer morning.

Summer Morning

I'm joining Texture Tuesday and BeStill52 today.

I used two layers of Kim Klassen's "Cora" Texture on this image.

Have a beautiful day!

Summertime Daisy

A few days ago I picked up a bunch of colorful daisies.

I love the daisy - it's such a happy flower and it always reminds me of summer.

A warm and bright summertime daisy for Texture Tuesday.

The image above is textured with one layer of Kim Klassen's "Scrapit" texture.

I couldn't resist another view - but with soft and faded colors :)

I hope that you are having a great day!

Spring Baby

Last winter I posted a picture of my favorite squirrel - I only notice her because she lost her tail sometime ago - click here to see her picture.

Yesterday I noticed two little baby squirrels sitting outside of her nest - peeking out over the edge. One of them crawled out and sat on a nearby branch.

So tiny - not much larger than the leaf.

The image above has two layers of Kim Klassen's "Isobel" texture.

I hope that you have a great day!

Light from the side

Playing with natural light, from the side, and some pretty sea shells :)

Summertime - Peony

I love peonies - the hand-sized bloom heavy with layers of delicate petals and a sweet subtle fragrance.

Right now I have a table full of these beauties.  A couple of days ago I raced out and clipped as many of them as I could before a storm blew through.  These heavy blooms on thin stems don't fair well in any kind of windy weather!

I'm joining Texture Tuesday today - I used one layer of Kim Klassen's "Waterfront7" on this image.

Enjoy your day!
