Swan Beauty

Have you ever picked something up and just had to have it?

It was love at first sight for me - a beautiful green gourd - shaped like a swan.

Just makes me smile <3

I used two of Kim's textures - Lola and Isobel.

One more "gourd"-geous image (ha!)

For the Love of . . . Nature

I'm joining Texture Tuesday with a nature image.

I love snapping photos of birds - what a really, really love is when I capture one in mid-flight.
I can never capture an image like this intentionally - it is always by chance, and then often the image is blurry.

I snapped this photo last weekend (yes, we still had snow! - luckily it's melted away over the last few days).

Gosh, I think this little bird is beautiful and I love the bit of snow bursting from the branch from his takeoff.

I used one layer each of Kim Klassen's "Serious Magic" and "Canvas Magic" on this image.

Have a wonderful day!

Last Day of Winter

Last night, into this morning, we had another snow fall - it seems fitting to celebrate the official last day of winter with a fresh layer of the white stuff.

Spring begins tomorrow!

Have a great day!

Be Still

I'm joining Texture Tuesday with this quote -

“Learning how to be still, to really be still and let life happen - that stillness becomes a radiance”

— Morgan Freeman

I love the graceful lines and the grungy peeling paint of this cast iron bird statue.

It is textured with one layer each of Kim Klassen's Add Some Noise 1 & 2.

I hope that you are having a great day!

A Little Cardinal Love

I'm popping in today, and joining Texture Tuesday, with a picture of a recent backyard visitor.

I love seeing these brightly hued birds in the middle of winter.  I love their bright red coloring and the tuft of feathers on the top of the head - so cute!

I used Kim Klassen's "Moody", "Vintage Magic Mess", and "Lyrical" textures on this image - lots of grungy texture!

I hope that your week is off to a good start!
